Since 1980 Officeworx (previously System Print and Netcomm UK) have been serving the business community with supplies and services. Originally a print broker, our range of business services has steadily grown over the years. Our reputation is built on trust and service and our print, packaging, furniture, stationery, telecoms, networking services rest on these principle foundations. Today Officeworx is a well-known and trusted supplier within Gloucestershire who have the ability to advise and source from a wide network of suppliers.
Our relationship with CCP has strengthened our image as a charitable company within the business community in Gloucestershire, and we have developed strong ties with other supporting companies. CCP are an interactive charity and they make it known to us that our support is appreciated. We have visited several of CCPs projects where we have been able to talk with staff and meet some of the people who benefit from CCPs work. Being able to see the work CCP undertakes first-hand has been a big incentive for us to support them wherever we can, and it is great to be able to see how the funds raised can help so many vulnerable people at a time when help and support is needed the most.
Supporting CCP also brings great team-building benefits. Our involvement in events such as Hamper Scamper and manning a water station for the annual Cheltenham Challenge run has been a great way for us to work together for a mutual goal outside of the usual office environment.
How did you come across CCP?
September 2014, Officeworx directors took on the challenge to cycle from London to Paris. Two weeks before the challenge started, a last-minute decision was made to complete this challenge for a local charity, and this is when our relationship with CCP began. Rob and Paul raised £1525 for CCP for this challenge.
From this day forward we have worked with CCP on a range of fantastic events including: the Cheltenham triathlon, food collections, donating food and volunteers for the Hamper Scamper appeal, donating funds from our Elfie Selfie social media campaign and bucket collecting at Cheltenham racecourse. Our biggest fundraising event in partnership with CCP saw Officeworx Directors’ cycle from Cheltenham’s twin town Gottingen all the way back to Cheltenham taking 7 days and raising £2,600 for the charity. At the end of the ‘Gottingen to Cheltenham’ challenge the team hosted a welcome home party for Rob and Paul at Imperial gardens allowing us to raise even more awareness for CCP.
Describe how you have supported CCP in 2020-21
During 2020-2021 Officeworx have supported the charity with food donations for the annual ‘Hamper Scamper’ appeal, this year it felt even more important to support as much as we could. We were also approached and delighted to accept a role as one of the main sponsors for the Cheltenham Challenge virtual event, supporting the famous Cheltenham Challenge t-shirts alongside our sister company Finn Telecom. Throughout the Cheltenham Challenge event we helped enhance charity exposure and engagement across our social media channels and encouraged our customers, family and friends to take part.
Our next event in relation to our CCP charity support will be in October when Paul Berry Officeworx Director runs the London Marathon with a fundraising target of £2,000. We have many fundraising plans in the diary to help build the exposure of the challenge and to help hit our target.
